Runes are way too expensive now and it will take years for people to get the ones they need before hitting level thirty unless they postpone getting any champion they want and at least playing draft. These runes are not doing any good to us but it is probably making riot a lot of money because while people are out spending ip on runes they need champions so they purchase rp. Riot this is messed up and not fair to new players please lower the prices.
They have already stated the system will be changed in pre-season.
Good news, runes are gonna be replaced with free ones next season.
Thank God. I just got back to league and i haven't seen any of the chagnes they are trying to make or will make.
As a note, they won't take years to grind. Maybe a week to grind one page out. Even though they are planning on revamping the system, you will still need runes in the mean time. I'd recommend getting T2 runes as they are very, very cheap and their stats are worth it. They should hold you over for quite some time.
