VOID CORRUPTION: Baron Nashor periodically deals 30 (+ 5% AD) magic damage and applies a stack of Voracious Corrosion to the nearest champion with the lowest number of Voracious Corrosion stacks.

This debuff reduces your armor/MR per stack, and can cause your armor and MR to go NEGATIVE.

So when you're the ONLY person in the baron pit for 10 seconds, you are getting every single stack, and will take start to take too high of an amount of damage to soak up stacks when the other two arrive to help. His auto attacks are the only thing that attack a single person at a given time, so you can't just swap aggro off yourself when he uses abilities/when the stacks catch up on you.

This is one of the main reasons I see baron attempts fail with low numbers. The corruption was stacking before we could even get our full damage going on him.
