So much mobility, AoE, Knockup, Escapes, Roaming back and forth, beats many other top laners, counters the shit out of riven and jax, has true damage to finish off thhe kill, tremors to sense ganks coming as well as a q to double check ganks coming. this dude was made for top lane and i dont understand why no one sees this.
Rek'Sai top IS a thing, but it has its limits. She only offers the Unburrow as far as CC goes, so she's not a great engager without flash. Her tunnels are on a very long cooldown and are destroyed easily in lane. That said, she duels fairly well and can push easily. The only reason she doesn't get played there a LOT is because she doesn't clearly offer anything in the top lane. If you want engage, Sion/Nautilus/Wukong will serve you better; if you want kill pressure, Riven/Quinn/Fiora does it better. In the jungle, she offers unparalleled mobility and vision control, but in lane those strengths are muted at best.
Because she does that as the jungler, giving her team awesome ganks and allowing another, better-suited champion to have top gold
But can she abuse crit?

Because Rek'sai is sorely melee and is honestly much better in the jungle.
I play her top all the time and rarely jungle. She is one if not the ONLY non-resource champ that is balanced so she will lose lane to the countless broken top laners.

I believe the reason is that should a team in the lcs show any sign of using her, she will get banned
she has insane map coverage and vision, something the pros used to the extreme

reksai sucks right now... sure she was OP on release and got a few needed nerfs.. but then they just kept nerfing her for no reason
they nerf her q AGAIN, they reduced her knockup radius, and now with the removal of cleave on
her core first item build is pretty much junk until she gets MUCH further in the game.
