Losing LP Because sivir disconnects at level 5

Don't you just love getting first blood, Cs'ing every creep in the first 4 waves and having a overall great early game then your ADC disconnects? I didn't think so. Being bronze, I see this a lot. Someone in a ranked game will disconnect from a game. When your carry dc's 10 mins into a game it makes its a lot harder to win. that is your damage dealer gone. So why do I lose LP because of someone else disconnecting after remake time has ended? I understand losing because yasuo is fed or they just team fight better than us, but it doesn't seem fair that because the 10 year old playing on grandma's Hp 2001 PC with dial up internet disconnected I lose my LP thus making it harder to climb. Could there be something done about this? Like if you disconnect during ranked your not aloud to play it for 5 games or something? or if there is a AFK/leave in your game you only lose half the LP? because this is a real problem that gets really annoying after a while.
