Competitive Events? (Like tournaments) Riot said they would come back in another way?

Does anybody have the article where Riot addressed this? I cannot find it anywhere. They said something about wanting to have a completely different experience playing the game. How competitive events are a great experience and such.

Or, if a Rito would be so kind to respond with an answer to my question: Will competitive events be coming back? If so, is there an estimated date? Since tournaments are no longer going on because _ rito things_, been looking for something to fill that gap in real teamwork.
