Laning against assassins.

Let's be honest, Zhonyas is irrelevant against assassins because they can blow you up in lane before you finish it and with the amount of armor pen available seekers is like wearing a cardboard box around you and saying 'I'M READY!' in your best spongebob voice. And guys, let's just pause and be honest with ourselves, abyssal scepter doesn't do anything against a fizz or an ahri.

My question: Playing a mage, which I love, is basically unfun as there is literally an ENTIRE CLASS OF CHAMPION you can't blind pick, because you can pick any assassin into a mage and win lane after 6. Will the mage update address this absurd disparity that exists in the mid lane?
