Who is the Most Balanced Champion for Each Role?

So the question of "Who is the most balanced champion" has been asked before, and we get results such as Sion and Bard mostly, but who is the most balanced in each role? And to take it a step forward, who is the most well-designed for each role?

For me, a good design likely consists of the following:

  • Feels fun and rewarding to play
  • Successfully fits their thematic and purpose through visuals and gameplay
  • Has counterplay that can be utilized, and the champion doesn't feel unfun to play against most of the time
  • Shows that they take mastery to perform well, either by having a high skill ceiling or high skill curve (Not necessarily a high skill floor)

Well, let's decide who is the most balanced in each class. The classes being:

  • Fighter
  • Tank
  • Assassin (Slayer?)
  • Marksman
  • Mage
  • Support

You could go further and say who is the most balanced in each subclass:

  • Vanguard (Offensive tank)
  • Warden (Defensive tank)
  • Juggernaut (Tanky, immobile fighter)
  • Diver (All-in fighter)
  • Assassin (Burst damage slayer)
  • Skirmisher (Dueling slayer)
  • Burst Mage (Burst damage mage, :/)
  • Battle Mage (AoE mage, sometimes with disruptive capabilities such as CC and terrain)
  • Artillery Mage (Long-range mages)
  • Controllers (Supports that buff their allies, sometimes with disruptive capabilities such as CC)
  • Catchers (A shitty name for supports that lock down enemies with CC and make them easy to gang up on)
  • Marksmen (Seriously, couldn't create subclasses for marksmen?)

For me, it's like this:

Fighter: Gangplank can deal a lot of damage when used correctly, has a high skill ceiling, and has counterplay. (Counterplay is a key thing here)

Tank: Sion has great counterplay in the form of dodging his spells, and he's very useful in a lot of situations.

Assassin: Ekko has proven himself to take strategy, timing, and planning, making some mastery required. Even after the hell that was Tankko, he seems balanced enough to fit well as an assassin. Him, or Zed, who is everything an assassin should be: a squishy, mobile champion that relies on taking down one target.

Marksman: Varus is a weird choice, but I feel because of his mix of needing to land abilities and using basic attacks he doesn't feel like one of those champions that all they have to do is right click you (cough cough CAITLYN cough cough VAYNE)

Mage: Velkoz feels rewarding to learn and satisfying to play. He has counterplay in the form of dodging spells, so that's good.

Support: Bard has a decently high skill curve and is extremely fun to play, providing a lot for his team.

Fighter: Vi Tank: JarvanIV
Assassin: Ekko Marksman: Jinx Mage: Taliyah Support: Nami

That is my opinion. I do say these champions, because I generally feel like there is always a way to defeat them when playing against, but they can also be very strong when you don't use an opening.

The only thing keeping bard in the game were those damage buffs ages ago. He is just a gimmick.

For support I would say taric maybe nami

Would agree with you on varus
