In terms of favorite champ thematically, I'd probably go with Nocturne. The psychological impact that his ult has on you as the enemy is insane. Your screen Darkening + the audio cue creates this insanely tense moment of dread that you're going to be his unlucky target to fucking murder. Very few abilities in our game feel like they have a similar effect as the opponent which is something that makes it unique for me. Champs like Jhin have their own insanely satisfying immersive moments like his ult, but being able to actually make you panic (not the same type of panic you get from running into an endless string of Teemo shrooms).
In terms of champs to play, this year I've been loving Ziggs. Partly because I feel like I can have success being reasonably braindead, but that when I'm mentally in it I can really zero in on landing skill shots and doing fun W plays (I also have horrible aim so having a solid aoe ability on a low cd does me so many favors)
Agreed. It's been great reading his comments and insight into the situation. Just wish some of his Riot shackles could be removed so he could go full minigun with information and insight so we know exactly what the goal is and what we can expect
Agreed. Communication is still far from perfect, and there are some aspects that still disturb me, but it genuinely feels like Maple is at least trying, which is more than what we've seen from most other Rioters thus far. It also feels like there may be the beginning of a dialogue between players and developers right now thanks to him, as we're apparently soon to have a discussion on time-to-kill and damage nerfs along the way. I remember the same threads made to/about Repertoir before he got promoted to "high and mighty game lead designer!1", that was when his attention towards boards dropped from 100 to 0.
Maple is a true old school Rioter for actually talking to us.
That is one of the core reasons why I started to play the game.
Also, fave champ to play.

This is how things should be, rioters interacting with the community on a consistent bases! Also there should be a community manager that comments a lot of things all the time. Is there even a community manager at riot?
Every time I hear Nocturne Ult and my screen get dark, me as a tank think: "Aaahhhr shit, someone in my team will die now" -.-
