Darius Darius at the moment (like all juggernautsGaren Darius Skarner Mordekaiser ) is getting a lot of hate. I believe this is due the nature of his kit and the role of the juggernaut in general. There seems to be more hard counters involved (e.g. impossible to win lanes and impossible to lose)

A high tank and high damage dealing but low mobility championDarius , by its nature should be able to do very well against a melee champion with mobility (as these champions usually lack the damage or the tankiness to go blow for blow with the juggernauts and sacrifice their mobility by standing toe to toe with them) XinZhao MasterYi

Meanwhile a ranged champion that can kite does very well and there is little in the way of counter play involved, usually ending with the juggernaut being killed very easily. (which is fine, that is the weakness of the champion) Ahri Ashe Gnar

Trading with darius at the moment revolves around his Q. Either he hits with the edge of the blade and wins the trade or he doesn’t and doesn’t, the new changes aim to make this harder (for darius to hit with his Q)

My question is ; if the proposed changes go ahead making it far easier for melees to fight darius (reducing a hard counter, that is making it harder for darius to perform his role), will he be compensated in some way to make fighting ranged champions easier.

I know there is a lot of anger against darius (and the juggernauts in general) but due to his hard counters being able to beat him so easily I don’t understand his high ban rate or the anger.

What do people think? Please try to leave constructive feedback if you can. I would also love a response from riot if possible.
