Dear Lane Callers At Champion Select,

Please. Don't argue over lanes that are already taken. More than once, I've called a lane (usually Jungle) and someone on the team (who usually wants to take jungle) starts raging to the point where they will never forgive me for taking Jungle and Auto-Locks in an attempt to make me change my lane. That same person fights and starts a keyboard war throughout the whole match and it is focused primarily on the Jungler for no reason at all and is forced to play a lane whereas the champion does not play at it's best. (I.E: Nidalee wants to jungle but me, Rengar, already called it in which that Nidalee is forced to go bottom lane support because top, mid, and adc were taken.) If people could pick champions that are flexible (that can play multiple lanes) that would be great, or better yet, stop fighting. Because of noobs, I've been reported more than once which has lead to a minor Chat Restriction (If 54 Games of Chat Restriction is minor...).

you know the champ select chat thing is kinda iffy? most of the time, its never clear who called what sometimes people can't see and course, no one has any reason to believe what some random guy has to say if its not at the minimum clear in the chat

that and lane calling is a totally unofficial, unmonitored, unenforced, unfuqs given player made system

To begin with: The order of the lines in chat is not always the same for different people.

Person's A through C can see:

Person A: Mid Person D: Mid

while person's D and E can see:

Person D: Mid Person A: Mid

The middle part: Lane calling in general is an unofficial system based off a kindergarten mentality in which sometimes I wish the person, who is usually at least more in the right, would just grow up and take a hit for the team instead of leaving poor Soraka (me) bot by him/her self while we have a duo mid Lux / Nidalee.

Unless you say people are falsely reporting you, which I am likely not going to buy, you earned your own chat restriction. Just because someone is an asshat in champ select does not excuse you saying certain "fun" things in the actual game chat. I see this all the time, and jack DOES NOT APPROVE.

more importantly, if its ranked, call the lane you are best at, i dont want you to go "MID" first pick katarina, never played her before. and then feed like crazy.

if its normals, go right ahead, learn what you gotta learn, trial and error if you have to. theres always next game.

How about you be generous and give up your position for the said person? Not every time but once in awhile. That's how you promote a positive change in the community one step at a time. It can really change someones day as little and minor as it seems. I know I get the itch to really play something and am sad when somebody takes the lane I wanted. I expect others to have that same itch, so be a bro or a sista. :)

As far as the actual problem in the OP goes, I don't have much to say other than, yeah, be flexible and don't rage.

But if you're calling jungle, and you're not playing ranked, why not go into Teambuilder? People will love you.

Here's my two cents.

When I que for a game of ranked, and get to the champion select, I tend to this line of thought.

1.) Type "Mid if I may" 2.) If I can't get mid, or if it's clear that top pick is going mid, I'll offer to ADC or Support. 3.) If I do get mid, I thank top pick for my favorite lane. 4.) Worst comes to worst, I'll have to jungle or top... (DON'T MAKE ME TOP OR JUNGLE, I WILL SUCK)

Off topic: Any one know a good champion to learn jungle and top with? because I would like to be able to play all lanes when need be.

If you can't/won't play ALL the roles then go play Teambuilder.
