Poll: Remove jungle buff timers from tab screen in ranked games

Pressing tab in-game reveals the score and known build of each player. It also reveals the respawn times for crucial and strategic buffs. One element of the competitive aspect of League of Legends is knowing and planning around the spawns of these crucial objectives. Should the timers be removed from ranked games; and left in normal games? It could discourage uninitiated players from joining ranked games as soon as they reach level thirty and own 16 champions; which is itself a major source of frustration when playing yolo queue.

As a jungle player who religiously timed buffs manually: buff timing is not a jungle skill. Typing fast and not screwing it up because you have multiple language inputs on your computer is not a skill. Jungle skill is map awareness, objective awareness and strategic planning.

Believe me, it's not going to stop the uninitiated from playing league. They'll still go in, thinking they're ready when they aren't even close

"MAN I SURE MISS TIMING ALL MY BUFFS MANUALLY" -fucking no one

They already do this for all 4 red/blue buffs. You only get the timer if you have a vision of the camps death. Vision op.

It used to be the same for dragon/baron, but in a somewhat recent patch (5.teens?) they got rid of it because it didn't matter. With the global SFX for those deaths it was a token effort for anyone to know when the timer was due... or to use their timer scripts...

re: "It could discourage new players from joining ranked too early". Without wanting to sound too prickly, I guarantee it would not make any difference.

No they were put there for a reason. To prevent modding the game for timers or outside timers. It should not be a skill.

You know what would make this game more fun? Making things unnecessarily complicated. I bet you play Dota don't you?
