Bring back double IP Weekend

As I have progressed throughout my league career, I've gotten bored playing with myself so I started introducing my friends and my girlfriend to this game. I have noticed that new players are struggling to gather enough IP to buy new champions. Yes there is a free champion rotation, but half of the time people don't like playing the selected few and when they do, they only have a week or a couple of days before that champion is gone and a new roster is set. Can riot please bring back double IP weekend?

We've all been there. Oddly enough, I never felt the need to object or complain about the low amounts of IP received after every match.

I played the game for fun and as pass-time. It never bothered me that unlocking champions took a lot of time. Possibly because I subconsciously was looking for exactly that; something new to spend a lot of time on.

However, in retrospect, it does make financial sense to buy a few champions with RP when on sale. There is a ton of information about all of them out there, plus the champion spotlights, and as everyone already should know what sort of player they are (ADC/Fighter/Support etc.), imagening/making an educated guess which champions would suit them, buying/unlocking accordingly shouldn't be all that hard.

Once you get a handful of champions you know and like, the game would feel much less boring, constricting and repetitive. And all without the need for a whole lot of IP.

With only the First Win of The Day IP bonus gained every day, you can unlock a 6300 IP every month (with some IP to spare). Play more than 1 game every day, and the entire process obviously goes faster. Mathematically speaking, that's not too bad.

Would be nice, but wont happen probably.

Would be good for me because Im still getting champions with IP, and still want a few rune pages and runes of course.

I know youre not saying this, but here is what your request is coming across to the corporate mindset you are beseeching:

"Hey Riot, I know you sell IP boost and RP, and thats your income, but can you make less money so me and my friends can avoid buying IP boost and spending RP to purchase champs please? Thanks."

So while it would be nice, because it lowers the grind, a frustrating grind is how free 2 play games compel you to spend money.

I was personally unable to get my best gaming buddy to play League. He simply didnt want to waste time grinding up the levels just to be able to start learning the game. In an attempt to keep him interested I duo'd with him a bit, he liked Lux. Then after 3-4 matches (one of them they had to go mid vs a Yasuo, toxic champ contributes to driving new players from the game...) they were doing ok more or less. What they didnt want to do was spend a couple more weeks grinding to be allowed to fill up their rune slots and mastery trees, then MONTHS grinding to be able to have enough decent champs to actually play with. All of this, and they were too low a level to be allowed to use Flash...

Anyway, the grind sucks, but all Riot hears is "YES! He is getting his friends to play, and theyre frustrated at the grind... ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME TILL THEY BUY CHAMPS WITH $$$ HAHAHA!"

They definitely need more ways to gain IP. I think they should make the rotating game modes give bonus IP each weekend.

Double IP weekend is something that Riot turns on for special events. It wouldn't be grateful or polite just to ask for it because we want more IP.
