Adc laning advice

I've been playing adc a lot mostly Ashe (66% win rate but only 20 ish games so a poor sample size) because if I lose early game I can still contribute and come back from behind with slows/stuns. With that being said I feel extremely confident with my team fighting I feel like in teamfights I position well, and put out good damage most of the time, but I struggle with the laning phase, often times I am just even with the enemy adc out of laning phase unless my supp is extraordinary. My question is are there any tips for the laning phase as an adc how to really pull ahead low Elo?

I noticed every time I support a high Elo adc (3 times lately idk why they were In my rando games) they never (rarely anyway) want to trade in the beginning until they get first item. ( as naut support I play super Agro) Is there a reason for this?

Unless you are an early lane dominant champion, like Lucian, you are pretty much gonna want to look to just farm. It is simply because the damage is not there. Lucian for example, wins most trades because of his passive and his E. Where as a champion like Jinx, who is immobile during initial combat (needs to get her passive to gain any mobility) and has only her Q for constant damage, loses almost all the time.

Think of it like this, if a champion has all of their abilities available to them for combat damage (they must all deal damage or assist in putting out damage), they usually are average to lane dominant champions. Think Caitlyn, Lucian, and Draven (the one exception to the all damage aiding abilities rule because his Q is loaded with it). They also typically have mobility built into their kits.

Now look at the weaker ADC. Jinx and Ashe both have minimal to no mobility that is instantaneous and simple to use effectively at a moments notice. Also, they both lack a combat ability. Ashe has her E which offers no damage, just vision. Jinx has no passive until she gets an assist, kills, or objective within 3 seconds of attacking it.

That is why these champions like to farm safely for a while. They simply lack the capability to evenly trade with other champions pre 6. Do not get me wrong, they will go in on a gank and such, but don't expect them to play super aggressive because they simply cant match the return or escape if it goes bad.
