Riven isn't hard to lane against man. She relies a lot on her passive to get good AA damage. If you play a champ with a good gap closer/escape, she really can't do much. I prefer , he's the perfect champ to go against Riven. He's ranged, he has TONS of sustain after Hextech Revolver, he has W to escape.

Fiora matches Riven but if you want to flat out beat her, forego Flash, take Exhaust and Ignite then max W first.

Riven relies on AAing you, if AAing you involves taking the equivalent of the AA in return in laning phase and you make sure the jungler is in another lane before you go ham on her, you automagically win. Level 3 W is a free pickaxe, and the returned damage is magic. You will vastly outstrip the shield provided by her AD in laning phase, and can actually chase her with E and well-timed Q's.
