The Soraka changes.

Here's my bias. I used to play a lot of Soraka. I was perfectly happy with the various buffs and nerfs she was getting. But with the rework, I hate playing her. I loved her ability to give mana to allies and use it as a harass tool to play very aggressively - and the fact you could heal yourself made that possible. You take too much damage, fine, just heal yourself.

I recognize, a rework is kinda meant to change how a champion's played, and maybe people love the new version of her. I definitely get the change to more skillshots and even agree with it. I just don't like the new playstyle. I have to be cautious, hang back, not put myself between my adc and the enemy and heroically shield them with my squishy squishy body, whilst giving them the mana to stay in lane and play aggressively and/or harassing the crap out of the enemies.

So I'd say they definitely "ruined" Soraka with the changes.

But that's... kinda fine, even if I don't like it. Because they made a new champion instead. Who isn't meant to be the same, really. Who's totally different. And I... can see the appeal, even if it's not for me. And the wounds are just too fresh.

So the point here, and what I want to know, is: how do others feel about the new Soraka? And specifically, do any people who loved the old Soraka love the new one too? 'Cause I'd love to love her too, too... as well.

I love the new Soraka. Her healing is much more noticeable (no small part because it's a lot more), and she's exciting to play now. Before you were running around slowly mashing q after your W and E were on their 10-20 sec cds. Now, you are constantly making decisions, running around the battlefield trying to position and dodge while landing Q's and I love it.

I love thew new Soraka, she's a lane bully like Cassiopeia used to be before her extinction with a sustain like Vlad once you build tear. At the same sime you can spit out heals for your team on a low CD at later stages of the game.

Dat Q zoning. While I mourn the loss of mana sustain, she's much better at zoning, and her heals are MASSIVE. Drop your Q on the ADC right as they're beginning their attack animation - they'll be forced to miss the last hit or heal you bunches.

Soraka is less of a 'spam button's champ now and more of a lane bully and zomg healer. I still put myself in front of my ADC - I just drop my Q while I'm doing it and often end up healing more than I took. And, honestly, once you hit about level 6, she can just stay in lane forever while supporting the whole team (if you can land Q's). And if you can't land Q's, hopefully you are using them to zone.

Also, don't put your E under the enemy, put it just behind them, then drop your Q. It forces them into a bad position, and if they panic, they run run into a silence which will close for a snare - easy kill for your ADC. (I really love new Raka)

The new soraka is interesting and I like it but I do have one problem which is the heal. Before the rework I like that the heal gets stronger depending on the target missing health this really helps ur adc when they are about to get bursted down by assassin. Now because they remove it the heal is just the base and the (%AP). I have this problem in the early game where I am healing my adc but they are dieing so fast before I can get my next heal on the adc. In the early game the heal value is very little meaning its not a lot to sustain the adc. The problem goes away when I start building a lot of Ability power but that takes time. Also sometime I am so suprise that people play soraka without buying any Ap. How that possible your heal is so weak without AP? Another thing the Q takes so long especially in team fights. Sometime Ill forget the Q and just heal and heal and heal until I have no health. I heard they going to fix that and make it more like nami Q so that good.
