What determines how many rank points gained for a win or lost for a loss?
Where is the data for the ranked system ? ...it seems entirely based on number of kills vs deaths. Are we penalized if we play a game when someone is afk on our team and we end up with more deaths than kills. Is this why people go afk or stop helping soon as a team is going downhill? This explains
- "ks" syndrome(people just want kills for more rank points and really don't care about strategy or map objectives), the whole ks notion seems silly to me...you eliminate an enemy as quickly as possible before more show up or hopefully gain time to go after a turret. But now it makes sense why people are so worried about it, if kills are the main factor for ranked points.
- why nobody wants to play support....supports tend to have more deaths than kills. If I'm losing 25 points for a loss and only gaining 15-20 for a win it is going to be forever before I can move up and play with better players. No wonder it is so rare for a team to really fight as a team....due to this ranking/kill system nobody wants to be the first body to jump in, have a death and gain less points. It seems to "pay off" better to troll around looking for kills to jump on. This ranking system encourages greedy, selfish play and gives no reward to people that go after objectives. If your teams win more than they lose your rank points should go UP !!!! Seriously I'm starting to feel the only way to go up in rank is to get as many kills as possible, helping teammates and taking down turrets seems to just put me at risk for more deaths and it will take longer to gain rank points. I went down 9 points from losing one game with 4 kills 10 deaths and winning one game with 9 kills 7 deaths. So please where is the info on what generates rank points.
