Champion Select repeatedly freezing.

I was in duo que with a friend of mine (ranked 5v5), and we were simply banning champions. Suddenly the client stopped working and I disconnected. I also lose lp, and not just me, it also happens to my friend. Im really confused because its not fair that i lose lp from the client being dumb. Also, I was in my placements, does this count as a loss?
