People get so mean and seem to play worse in ranked than norms

I played three games of norms with vayne and won all three before convincing myself to play her in ranked. Each of those games no one flamed... no one complained about anything.... I get into my first ranked game with her and it just seems like the quality of player went waayyyy down in terms of general skill and also social skills. Has any one else noticed this trend? It seems like a lot of the people that play ranked are so focused on being scared of losing they cant allow them selves to play well or to not flame their team mates. They are so focused on the end result they forget that there is a game to play before the victory screen flashes and that in their selfish pursuit they are justified in saying anything and lose all ties with reality and what ever skill they had. Why cant people get over the mental barrier of ranked games and stop being so scared of losing? They need to get past the fear of trying. I feel like this game is at least 60% attitude and mental strength. It seems like most players in my ELO (silver) and below don't get that. They throw temper tantrums, blame other people, flame, rage, and mentally choke their own team out. THAT is what ELO hell is... it is brought on by yourself. Those players are keeping themselves down and in the process bringing who ever they are playing with with them.

TLDR; People need to build up their mental strength and stop being little bit*hes.
