Blitz VS Thresh Battle Of The Hook And Grab. 7.5 ( which is better)

Recently I've gotten more into the support role playing supports like karma and zyra. But need a good addtion to my support champ pool and I'm hovering between getting blitz and thresh. Which champ would be the best if mastered and easier to play. Im willing to spend alot of time playing either thresh or blitz inorder to get better. So which champ would be better of use when climbing rank in low elo such as bronze to gold. Would it be either thresh or blitz that would most rewarding if leanred to play well in low elo (bronze to gold).

(And which has the easier skillshots grab)

(Update: Are they're any currently support player that main or played either thres or blitz and are currently past silver?)

For climbing low ELO, I'd say Blitz for sure. He's much easier to play and his hook will have much more of an impact. When mastered though, Thresh is unquestionably the better support. He can do so much more than Blitz, who is pretty binary with all of his power being in his grab.

Blitz is easier to learn and can do cheesier shit (AP Blitz can delete someone, for example), but I feel Thresh is the real support between the two. More utility, better lockdown, can peel harder, can save allies, continues to scale as the game progresses (even if behind in items), and is still a threat should he miss his hook.

well,I cant say much for either as I have only done both once or twice, but blitz can be a little boring, and has a high ban rate. boring cause your only job is to hook then knockup. forever. where thresh can do things like place his lantern, which gives a shield AND lets people jump to you

Solo support > Blitz. Duo or with people who know what they do > thresh.

Even if your ADC is virtually braindead, rightclicking an enemy you dangle right infront of their face after you hooked them and knocked them up is still just within their range of abilities. Thresh is more versatile but requires an ADC who knows what theyre doing. If you throw a lantern so your ADC can swoop in and kill the enemy you just chased, but your ADC instead decides to keep farming like nothing happened > it's gonna be a long game.

Former Thresh main from Bronze here. Shortly: Thresh is harder, riskier, more aggressive gameplay. Blitz is easier, less risky, safer.

Long one: I would advise to learn Thresh as he has hooks, amazing versatility, hooks, design, gameplay, hooks... Awww. That sound of landed hook is most enjoying part of playing him. And if you climb higher he will be much better choice to main on support role due to utility he provides. Once you learn Thresh Blitz is easier to learn, so you can just play both. What I used to do is I would ask if my adc picks his main or not. If he picks main I would mostly go Thresh. If he plays champ that he is not too comfortable with I would pick Blitz or smth else. Also I used to spam Blitz on my promos whenever I can.

The problem with Blitz is that he is banned very often in low elo. So investing your time into Thresh is definitely a good option. But one thing. Its just... bronze. Once you learn him well you will want to do flashy things. And when you try to do it, you will fail a lot bc they don't pick up fucking lantern fast enough. I mean they try or even do pick it up, but it might require them to do it very fast to do what you want. Or its not even about lantern. Some of those don't know about level 2 Thresh all in and just don't react fast enough. So for that I think it is great to find good duo. Preferably Draven/Caitlyn/Jhin main. Whenever you see those just pick Thresh with ignite, go superham and enjoy taste of enemy tears. And hooks too. Mmmm... that animation of helpless enemy with hook on their neck... and you pull em right into box with sound of deathly laughter. So delightful agony.

You get the idea xd. glhf!
