Can some of the lower ranks get more fitting enemy/allies?
The current system chucks people several ranks up and down together and it's a real pain to have to wonder if this silver 2 just got stuck with a bunch of bum teammates and should be gold 3, or this silver 2 had a stream of good teams and did well by virtue of not having to struggle in a 36 - 16 game. I say "the lower ranks" because I know the upper tier ranks are pretty thin and couldn't stay in their lane without bazillion hour wait times. Hell, get to gold and you sit in the top 20-somthing percent, but I got to gold last year and this year and all I see is people on losing streaks in gold and people on winning streaks in silver.
Before you get in your kerfuffle boards, I'm not saying I should be lcs but the system has me pegged in low gold, but I consistently do just fine at my supporty job, and bot lane is rarely the reason for the curbstomp we get when we lose. I just feel like the current system means you have to have amazing luck with teammates or be exceedingly better than your current rank. For example I got placed in low silver and until I got to around silver 2 there were some wholesale slaughters as misplaced people got matched up against people who won't make it out of bronze this year. Lots of people were playing above their actual level.
I just feel like a system that tracks how well I perform is useless in a game where the team is a MASSIVE part of how well you can perform. And even if you perform well you can still handily lose. Yes you heard it here first, you can win bot lane and still lose the game (wuuuuuuuuuttttttt????????!!!!?!?!1?!1!?!). I wouldn't really know how to fix the system since I'm not privy to all the ins and outs, but I feel like there is definitely a better way somewhere out there.
