VGU - IP costs?

So, we all know that when a new champion comes to the game, the IP cost of 1-2 champions gets reduced. What if champs that got a VGU like this Urgot here would reward us with one of those IP reductions like the new champs do? Would that be too much? Don't tell me 'but you get the VGU champ for less than a new champ' because that is obviously offset by the fact that some of the GUs we've been getting lately have been deleting our champions, like Sejuani and Galio. I didn't spend 4800 IP on those champs, I spent it on their old versions. If I could refund their IP costs, I would, but I can't, so I think it's fair to ask for additional IP reduction when champs like this Urgot, Warwick, and Galio come out.
