Any context into why Infinity Edge got its cost nerfed reverted on PBE?

On the PBE IE total cost got increased from 3800 to 3975.

But more recently it got reverted, is there any RIoters that are willing to give some contexts on what is going to happen to IE? Since patch 4.10 IE has been 'the' dominant first rush item for ADC, which completely replaced BT.

It would be nice to add some diversity, instead of being pigeon holed into rushing IE, or using ADC that only benefit the most from it.

im a corrector freak so ill have to correct this

the ie buff did not make it a go to item its the weakened position of bt what caused the changes, and the changes are not the rise of ie making bt an utility item (defensive item for adc's) created a new branch of adc's who use youmus and botrk (before they were sticking with bt) along the basic ie carries(many carries were rushing ie before the changes, those who took bt now go for other items) and triforce carries

this caused some mix and the ie carries are on top atm, deducting from the information that i have riot will rather go with nerfing the champions who use ie to put them on par with the rest

Balancing it by increasing the cost would mean people would just choose another go to item to replace IE if the nerf is big enough, also it isn't that bad because Ghostblade/botrk/tri are all 1st item options that are popular outside of IE anyway.

Also at the end of the day there can be only so many options as "1st item" for ADCs.

IE has always been the most slot efficient basic attack DPS item in the game (with some situational exceptions that don't have the massive AD attached). Historically this has been balanced out by its cost (which is why melee champions hardly ever buy it over cheaper options). So Riot probably wanted to jack up the price to make it less attractive. Since having an item whose job is to do more damage than any other item is an interesting choice to have in the game.
