Ranked game system needs to be changed

In my last game the player who was supposed to pick an adc instalocked Yasuo while my jungler went Twitch. Now, Jungle Twitch is viable and can be played, but the guy picked Twitch when he had little experience playing him in the jungle.

Now you might be asking "Why not just dodge you filthy ape???" Well, here is my #1 issue with Ranked that I have had since season 3

Promos

I clawed my way out of Low plat elo hell and earning only 14 LP a win at one point just to get screwed over because of the fact that I have to play a game that I am obviously extremely disadvantaged in? Why do we even have to play all of these promos anyways? Why can't promos be limited to something like this

Bronze > Silver 5

Silver 1 > Gold 5

Gold 1 > Plat 5

Plat 1 > Diamond 5

I fell like up until Diamond, you shouldn't have to deal with promos just to jump from say, Gold 4 to Gold 3. More promos in Diamond would be a necessary evil because of limited spots in Challenger.

Tl;dr - Lower the amount of promos please riot.
