Old jungle smite buffs increased viability of many junglers and enabled more teamwork

both Wolves and Raptors provided a type of vision for defense of jungle, whether you're ahead or behind. Especially when behind you could smite wolves and have vision of at least one side of jungle so you could sort of play to that side. Raptors gave free oracle sweep to clear wards. There was a type of strategy with old buffs. Currently you just smite for health during your clear to be healthy enough to gank mid-lane repeatedly. You don't need to strategically hold onto smite for wolves for jungle vision or raptors to help reduce vision or krugs/gromp to help your clear. Old buffs opened up viability of many unique junglers and play styles. Now, its just duelist junglers that have to clear camps fast enough to get to scuttle to fight for it then incessantly gank which is extremely boring and brainless
