What If... Wukong Fighter Class Update Ideas
Wukong is one of my favorite League champions. As a fighter he could be subject to a mini-rework/tweaking of his abilities.
Below are a couple of ideas I had that would be minor tweaks that could improve his overall quality of life, without making him unplayable nor broken.
Passive: I roll the current passive into his R. Same Ratios. As far as an alternative passive or new thought, I'm really not sure what he could be given, but I know it would be better than this weak sauce. Perhaps something related to chi... Perhaps abilities can store chi charges (still spend mana to cast), and when the chi bar is full, he unleashes stored chi into one of Q, E, or R to make it stronger on the first enemy hit (including junlge, epic monsters, minions.? Perhaps he could only use this when the gauge is completely full. Would create clear moments to play around. An enemy one moment, "I can go in on him cause his chi is low" and Wukong the next "Imma bout to go ham cause my chi is full". This combined with the W changes described below, could create for some epic strategy during team fights.
Q - CRUSHING BLOW - Wouldn't change a thing!
W - DECOY - Perhaps the ability to store up to three decoys at once. A longer cool down time could perhaps offset the chance of this being overpowered. PROS: Would give Jungle Wukong a much needed quality of life boost, could solve some early clear problems. Could add strategy to team fights, being able to "BAFM!" around the battlefield to get to the designated target. I would also remove the AP scaling in place of a Health scaling or an MR scaling ratio. CONS: He would be hard to catch should he decide to run away instead of fight, but perhaps he could become visible and lose all bonus effects from W if he gets hit with any form of aoe while in decoy mode, or is spotted by a ward. Yeah just make him visible to wards when in decoy mode, but only wards.
E - NIMBUS STRIKE - Love it.
R - CYCLONE - I love this thing. However I would suggest moving his current passive into his ultimate. Same ratios per ability rank. This is the only time the current passive is really useful, this would allow for a new/more useful passive.
