How does the letter ratings work exactly? (S, A,B,C,D)
I went 29/2/8 as lucian in the game I played right before I started this discussion. I got an A+ rating. I'm just curious how the rating system works. Can someone explain it to me?

First step, obviously, is to collect all your stats. Your KDA, your kill participation, your CS, your wards and ward clearing, the objectives you contributed towards, and all the little numbers in between that may matter.
Next, compare that score to your champion's average, and the game's average. If you do waaaay above average as a Lucian for example, that biases you towards a higher score. On the other hand, if everyone in your game is doing amazingly, or there's a select few that straight up did better than you despite how well you yourself performed, that biases you towards a lower score.
It's why it's easy to get a high score on underperforming or unpopular picks (I recall reading a thread that was making fun of how they got S+ as an AD Galio top, for example) but substantially more difficult to get an s on champs that regularly over perform.
What about your cs? Wards? Objectives?
No one can explain it exactly 100% because we're not meant to know. KDA is only one influence on your grade. You are also compared to other players of the same champion. And as Zarkkast said: total CS, wards placed, and objectives taken all have an effect.
CS is way more important than kda in this system.
