Can I main 2 champions in mid?

So like i used to main Veigar and Annie (Support and mid) . And i was like they are both mages and really burst ones. Maybe I should i have a champion in my back just incase veigar and annie has counters since they both have almost same concept and then i thought about fizz. Is that a good idea? Deleting Annie from my brain and replacing it with Fizz. So I main Veigar but if i get countered play fizz. And If i get top i dodge.

why not just learn to play veigar in every lane?

Annie is mid not support traditionally and you should have more than one champ for every role incase that champs get banned or picked once you start playing draft

That would technically mean Veigar is your main and Fizz is one of your subs. But yes, you can.

EDIT: Also, you don't need to drop Annie.

Not Fizz he's not worth the effort to learn atm. An actual monkey could play Talon right now and do well. Fizz isn't bad per se, but the effort-to-success ratio just isn't that appealing.

I'd play at least 1 type of damage champ, so AP and AD, and maybe one utility pick. There will be games you have liss top, nid jg and malz support so you don't really want to play Veigar there

You could just expand your champion pool a bit, across like 4-6 champions who are relatively diverse in playstyles. Cassiopeia Karma Katarina Leblanc Lissandra Syndra are my "mains," mostly because they're really all I play(aside from a few fringe cases where I want to play something new(rarely ever works out)) so I just refer to them as such.

Keep playing Annie and Veigar, but try out other champions, find the ones you like and and really click with. That way, you have options to choose in various scenarios like counter picking or team synergies.

There is no counter for Veigar. Just learn how to play him better.
