Making Urgot a proper semi-ranged champ

As you all know, Our god, Urgot can no longer use and even with the buffs coming in the next patch, Urgot as a Juggernaut should be able to use it as well as Doran's shield if he wants to play safe in lane.

So I was thinking, what if Urgot was classified as melee but, his attacks are considered ranged. Sounds contradicting and retarded but hear me out! If he becomes a melee champ but his attacks are ranged, then he should be able to use items affect urgot himself but not his attack. meaning that he can buy items but his attack can't proc cleave or cressent, however, if he gets or . He will be able to use them because with no problem what so ever.

And if does become melee only, then Urgot doesn't have to worry about that either.
