Wanting to Main Kayn, but I need Advice.
I want to Main Kayn, but I want to find out if I should wait it out untill his price is Reduced, or should I learn by the start?

Youll most likely never get to play him in the first 2 weeks of his release so...
So i've been a Kayn main for ten years now, let me give you some advice and stuff you need to know if you wanna be good with him. What you wanna do is buy him, auto lock him in norm games and if someone complains tell them i main the champion. In ranked tell them "dont ban kayn he is my main" if they do choose teemo and afk in bot lane bush because that will teach them never to ban your champion again. If the other team ban's him watch which person ban's them, choose fizz and only kill him for the rest of the game, and tell him he is trash in chat. No but for a real answer just buy him early and normal draft him till ur comfortable on him, he wont be banned as much cuz he isnt camile on release ppl will ban him because ppl think that ppl will play shit on him just asked them to trust you.

Here's whats going to happen. First five weeks, won't get to play him at all. Either because someone insta locked him. Or he's got a ban rate of 97%. By week six, Riot will nerf him so hard he becomes more unusable than Aatrox. A year later, they will finally bring him up to a point where he's probably decent... like what they did with Kindred. And then another half a year when they realized that they have screwed up, and buff him again... but it will never be the same like it was with old Kayne and everyone will remember about how much more fun, and better old Kayne was compared to new Kayne who will only have one or two build paths.
Like every new champ, he's gonna be permaban for awhile. Especially considering the last new champ (
) was disgustingly overtuned on release
Idk, but maybe you should wait until the champ has been released to decide to main him.
To answer your question, I would definitely wait, he's gonna be pick or ban for 2-3 weeks, maybe more. From what I've seen of him he's likely going to get nerfed first or second patch too because he looks like an overtuned mess.
Personally I'll probably wait a month or two before I try him out. He doesn't interest me much.
Or you go the third way: Buy 3 Champion Shards for 1700=>5100 Gold and get him Day 1.
(Owning all Champions in the game is a requirement for this strat. =P)

You can buy him right away, then use one of your free refund tokens after his price gets reduced and re-purchase him at 6300. This is what I did with Braum release.
Although that might only work with an RP purchase (that's what I did for Braum because I had some extra on my account), I'm not sure if the 7800 IP purchase is refundable since that price changes.
