Riot stop the snowball please

This is my personal opinion, based on what I've seen on the boards and in other aspects of the league game and community.

Basically the games are getting shorter and shorter. reasons are:

  1. Riot is making every class be able to carry and do everything. Classes need to be put in their places. Vanguards have no reason to have 30% max hp damage for attacking someone they stun. They should stun and get some tenacity or something else for doing their job. Adcs don't need to heal tons and burst tons. Twitch wouldn't even be as big as a problem if he wasn't a multi-target rengar from 850 range. He COULD be a long range dps marksman who rewards his team with sustained damage for keeping him alive. He COULD be threatened by mages and assassin and people who were able to make it to the back-line. Healers COULD be picked because they heal and not to stack healing with adcs while stat checking with ardent. If you made every role do what their role says, the game would already be much more enjoyable than it is now. Shoot, even chogath lost his identity as a tanky AP champ because he can just stack 100% tank stats and hp and deal MORE damage than before. I'm fine with making an endlessly scaling defensive champ, but not when he doesn't have to invest in any offensive items to be stronger than most offensive champs. Maybe you could even add more viable bot carries that aren't marksmen like you've been wanting to try if adc's were as niche as everyone else.

  2. Turrets, and objectives in general are getting worse. More and more options to explode turrets, but no buffs to these said buildings. I LOVE giving options to a pushing playstyle, but it becomes unhealthy when almost everyone can take them in 4 seconds. Turrets should be stronger defensively, and should have a little boost to their offensive power to make divers and people who can redirect aggro or make plays under a turret more wanted. Riot can't even deny the fact that an adc can survive under turret as long as there's something to heal themselves to full on from autoing.

    Objects die so fast now, anyone can solo herald, even a soraka. Barons fall at 20 minutes and you can take them if you win 1 team fight early-mid game. People have asked for stronger objectives all together, more challenging gameplay. The easiest fix to herald would be to make his eye only open when there's 2 or more people fighting it. I think every dragon needs it's own unique fight.

    Cloud drake has barely any cc but has swift attacks and is fast all together. Infernal needs to feel like old dragon but extended with fiery powerful blasts. Mountain needs to be very lethargic, but with immense power and some cc maybe. Ocean has some utility to his kit, like a balance between mountain and cloud. No more level 3 dragons that lead to snowball. Baron needs to be scarier too, as the baddest monster on the rift that gives extreme power. He dies so fast now and does practically nothing unless no one on your team has sustain, which is rare with adcs/enchanters and tanks every game.

  3. The jungle. This is pretty simple. Catch-up xp leads to faster games because you can sit on lanes and only farm when you fall too behind because you level up extremely fast. Counter jungling doesn't even feel rewarding because they'll always be your level with catch-up xp. You also made jungle a lot more niche this season and kicked out any chances of jungle diversity because only certain champs to jungle now, like tanks with aoe clear and extra damage to monsters. I barely see any mages or ap champs in the jungle anymore because they can't perform nearly as well as AD champs or tanks can. I was really excited when I heard that jungle was going to updated for a fun and diverse experience but it seems the opposite. People are even giving mid laners their chickens just to put them at level 2 first and then they camp their lane and snowball. Jungle needs more than slight tweaks, Riot. I want to see someone pick fizz or ekko and go jungle with them again, I haven't in a very long time.

League would probably be in a better state if you made those some of your main goals in balancing league after you did runes reforged. The game is getting to the point where you can't even try something that's JUST viable and not meta, or you get destroyed because the games are so short and predetermined.

Tl;dr - Riot aims to make all classes be able to solo carry their games, turrets and objectives are weak and boring, junglers and jungle as a whole got thrown into a toxic state.
