Forfieting and Remaking
Now I'm not a fan of this certain system since it should more or less "be rarely used under very specific circumstances", but when you start to encounter such very specific problems on an occasional basis you start to realize an ugly pattern.
Imagine queueing up a trio team that you can confidentially trust, talk to when it comes to mutual agreements and otherwise known to have map lane dominance (like 3 separate lanes for example). Suppose the worst case scenario happens in game to your team, like losing a teammate after "remake" threshold and throughout the rest of the game. What do you do? There needs to be a solution before having to force yourself to play until the 15 minuet marker.. And I have a solution. Say that the problem is different and that 2 people won't surrender a game that is an obvious loss. I have an answer to that too.
Simply put, lets ignore the fact that having a 5 man queue could fix this because not everyone plays with a 5 man, much less a beloved trio. Now then, all that will be needed is a tweak for the voting system. There are several ways to aim at these problems and the first aim is to set up the surrender button found within your options screen (Default: Esc button) as a toggle button (Default: undecided). Instead you are able to cast your vote if you get an early afk which surpasses the remake threshold while everyone receives anonymity during the vote. I believe the vote must be majority, not minority mainly because it becomes a vs numbers later in the game. Point being made, a 4v5 will almost always come to a faster conclusion, unless you know... they're toying with you and should quite definitely receive heavier respawn timers, but that is for another discussion. Anyhow, the second aim to solve the voter's problem is for the game to keep a tally system of how many times someone has voted no during that game (Not voting = voted no as well.) and identify if it is the exact same two people are constantly voting no. If it turns out that there are only 2 who are constantly saying no, then the system should side with the majority because it shows that the majority of the players have lost their interest with the game and wish to move onto another game that may be much more favorable or enjoyable. Odds are, the two who are voting no are also duo and they'll constanly shut down the vote until some nexus is down.
Anywho, those are just 2 sloppy examples to fix the problem. I would love to see you what you would come up with. "The problem may be small, but it can influence big."
What I would like to know is: How do you expect your playerbase to be happy, not get tilted, or flame if the majority of players are forced to waste their time and effort only to get reported for giving up, being afk, feeding or staying in fountain? Because clearly the majority is out spoken for by the minority voters and you can't help but take your leave and pent up anger that was created by them, elsewhere.
