match making queue, very long queues

So I had some issues with my primary account -which I might add riot fixed quickly, thank you very much Riot!!! I had to create another account until the matter was resolved if I wanted to play, and This is that account. I was reading on the match making system. I guess it makes sense that my queue would be so long, I am not a new player and thus it has a hard time matching me. But a typical wait is like 1 min 30 sec or so and its taking like 7 minutes its crazy. not sure if that is intended to be that long. I know its trying to balance it. Luckily for me I got my other account back. But, if you were unable to do so for whatever reason it seems they should have a way to level the account faster based on skill or experience of the player. I'm not suggesting free IP or anything of that nature just advancing the levels quicker so you can start pairing with better players quicker? I'm not sure what the best way is. just a suggestion, thank you !
