Network connection

Hey, so i recently got a new gaming laptop, because my old one broke, and I'm currently strugglinf majorly with network connection. My ping is 900 usually.

I normally use my mobile hotspot. Which has worked fine for me for a year, since i havent gotten decent wifi yet.

So does this new computer just not like hotspots? Cause as iv said its worked fine for me at 60 ping for over a year now, but as soon as my laptop broke and i got a new one, i cant figure out how to make the ping drop.

Any help :( ?
