Done with support

I've been a support main for 2 years but...I can't do it anymore, made it to Plat 3 last season and was looking to climb higher but now...I can't seem to do anything. It feels ABSOLUTELY AWFUL to play support now. I am sick and tired of being 4-6 levels behind everyone else, and this seems to be the biggest problem for a support main. I feel punished for warding, roaming, pressuring, or anything that takes me away from soaking up EXP in lane. I was not a glorified ADC babysitter! I wanted to make an impact on my game not just sit in the damn lane.

I managed to inch out some good vision (luckily I have good map awareness) but it is a lot harder now and rarely does more then protects a side lane that is pushing unless everyone helps out...which was rare. Vision is so hard now and in the late game I am now forced to sacrifice an item slot just to have a damn pink ward!! Why the hell was the trinket pink taken out? It is obvious to me no that the support role is just a dumping ground for problems. When a support finally shines they are always nerfed.

As far as I am concerned season 6 is the death of support mains. I used to feel like I had an impact but now I never do. Even when I win I still feel like I didn't do anything. To those support mains still hanging in there I tip my hat to you. Until something changes for supports I'm done with the role. I'm tired of feeling like I can do nothing. Tired of feeling like I am a failure at the role because I'm so far behind in levels. I'm tired of vision being so difficult to manage. If supporting continues to feel this bad in season 6 the dynamic que is going to start getting very long wait times, as it is that was the one benefit of being a support main, no wait.

If some love is sent support's way i would love nothing more then to return to the role. Until then, I am queuing up as Mid. I hear that Karma and Lulu actually make decent supports in mid. And jungle, I hear Gragas and (soon) Shen make good supports there.
