My main 4 roles are mid, sup, jg, and adc. I am trying to do top, but i'm not very good at it. Whenever I do jg, I allways go bot for my first pass, it was just instinct to do it that way. I had to play top the other day, and the jg asked me for a leash so I helped him out. By the time I got to the lane the ther top was level 2 already and made 3 before I made level 2. So since I am new to the game, is there any specific way this should be handled?

I personally believe putting the top in a situation where he his behind is detrimental to the team, whereas bot has a little more room for forgiveness having two people down there.

You shouldn't take anywhere near that long when leashing for a jungler.

At most, you should give them around three autoattacks and leave so that you don't lose experience or lane pressure.

Leashing is more of a counter invade mechanic, only stay long enough to make sure jungle is not in a 1v5 shoot a spell or attack and bounce out. Fun fact leashing was originally done by mid lane only by hitting blue over the wall then the mid lane would have aggro on the monster and it would auto path towards them. The mid lane could make a minor adjustment and force monster to start going the other way around instead (repeating the adjustment over and over each time the monster switched directions in pathing) and the jungle could kill first camp without anyone taking any damage. Modern leashing is just making sure your jungle does not get invaded, do not stick around unless enemy does an invade and you see some free kills floating around.
