Malzahar and Buff/Rework Limbo

So I was wondering, can you even make a champ like Malzahar viable/balanced while keeping the characters identity intact?

Malz has been in an odd space for awhile now. His solo-queue win rate is actually moderately healthy at 50%+. At the same time he has not seen significant pro play since Season 1. This is largely the consequence of his ult stunning him as well as his enemy combined with his lack of mobility. Also QSS kind of ends his effectiveness.

Obviously there is no easy solution to this problem or else it would have been solved 3 years ago or in the time following. I also understand that it's hard to justify buffing a 50%+ win rate champ who could potentially turn abusive in lane.

So what would you do to break Malz out of this position and into the meta?

Honestly if they made him viable the first thing going is his silence. Rito doesn't like silences it seems and 3 seconds can change an entire teamfight easily. I don't think they'd be able to make him competitively viable unless they tweak his Q or nerf his damage somewhere else unfortunately.

They seemed to have left skill shot silences be like cho which I can understand. Point and click silence is too reliable. But I think your point has validity. Maybe silence is too strong and by replacing his q he could get something like movement in return.
