When will Riot rework Sion?

Sion Obviously needs to be fixed, right now he is as old as the map that is getting an overhaul and I'm certain other champs will surely stick out as to old/look like they don't belong to this game anymore.. that's how old school Sion is. Besides that his spells don't make sense for an undead warrior wielding an axe what was the point behind the stun? cause it doesn't match the idea of an undead warrior. I understand the concept behind the ultimate spell and the shield I'll let slide this time but how does a non-caster melee undead warrior cast a ranged spell that does damage. Disclaimer I don't play, own, or hate Sion

Oh, both the community and Riot are VERY aware how badly Sion needs to be reworked... but it's not exactly a small job (between total gameplay rework and visual updates) they are more or less creating a new champ. Between the level of work needed to do that and all the other stuff Riot has on their plate, it's gonna take a while.

But it's coming.

Sion is being worked on right now, here is a link were Riot discusses it. No ETA yet.

If you need details of why play a game as Sion, then play against him his skills and ratios are horrible compared to most champs
