The ADC itemization pass

It'll be happening come the pre-season, though we're still not sure exactly it'll consist of. But here in this topic I would like to share my personal take on what I feel would help make the auto-attack item set a little more interesting.

There are basically four types of auto-attack focused champions. The classic pew-pewers, the AD casters, the OnHiters, and the hybrids. Right now the only group that's really well supported by itemization are the classics, mostly due to the fact that Infinity Edge has no real competition. The centerpiece of this work will fix that issue, building around item 3122 and a new set of items that build out of it.

To begin with, Hatchet will now have a named passive, Augmented Critical. All items that build out of it will share that passive. Whichever item is closest to Slot 1 will be used and the passives on the rest disabled if someone grabs more than one. Each of the ADC types should have a dedicated Augmented Critical item, an IAS/Crit item, and a Lifesteal item to grab.

For the pew-pewers, we'll have item 3031 item 3046 item 3072. These items do their job just fine and they can be left more or less alone. Aside of course from the fact that IE will be building out of Hatchet now instead of BF Sword.

The AD Casters will get a remade item 3104 item 3508 and item 3142 to work with. -Ghostblade now builds out of Brutalizer, Cloak of Agility, and a Longsword. It gains a little more AD and Crit Chance, but otherwise remains the same aside from an item cost in the Dancer range. -Essence Reaver now builds out of Forbidden Idol, Vamp Scepter, and a Pickaxe. It gains a unique passive than heals your HP and Mana for 10% of the damage you deal (1/3 effectiveness on AoE abilities). -Pillager now builds out of Brutalizer, Hatchet, and a Cloak of Agility. Its Augmented Critical causes your physical damage to inflict a bleed that deals (percentage of bonus AD times crit chance) physical damage over three seconds.

The OnHitters get a remade item 3087 item 3153, and a new Hatchet item. -Blade of the Ruined King's build doesn't change, however it gets shifted back to 4% of the target's max HP in magic damage OnHit in addition to a new passive that causes all of the users OnHit magic damage to lifesteal. -Shiv now builds out of Recurve Bow, Cloak of Agility, and a Dagger. It now unleashes a 100 damage Chain Lightning every third consecutive attack on the same target. In addition, it releases a bonus Chain Lightning strike any time the user crits. -The new Hatchet item builds out of Hatchet, Recurve Bow, and a Zeal. It gets some flat OnHit magic damage in addition to its other stats. Its Augmented Critical effect causes OnHits to proc twice on a critical hit.

Hybrid champions get item 3146 item 3124 item 3078 and a new Hatchet item. -Trinity will remain more or less the same, though it could probably stand to have its crit chance bumped back up to 15% for a bump in cost. -Gunblade will be gaining the ability to heal the user for 15% of the damage they deal in addition to its active scaling off bonus AD in addition to AP. -Rageblade could get its passive remade into a hybrid %Pen item that shares a named passive with Void and Whisper (we'll call it Ruin). However, its %pen value would be lower than Whisper or Void. Probably somewhere between 25 and 30%. -The new Hatchet item would build out of Hatchet, Needlessly Large Rod, and a Cloak of Agility. Its Augmented Critical passive would cause your Crits to deal bonus magic damage equal to (percentage) of your ability power.

So!

There you go.

Completely reworked set of items for ADCs.
