League is virtually unplayable

I just want to point out the fact the League is virtually unplayable at this point. The amount of disconnects is ridiculous. Most of my games are 4v5 or 3v5 because someone drops out from the game, or is never able to connect, or the game just crashes for whatever reason. People go afk but I refuse to believe that 8 out of 10 games are like that. It gets old really quick... I haven't seen any official announcement about this issue.

Then we have to wait 20 minute to surrender and let the enemy team murder us over and over again. I have read another post that said the 20 minute timer is giving us the chance to have a heroic comeback. Seriously? If we would want to play 5v4 we make a custom game. And what about the enemy team? One of their players can practice last hitting for 20 min. Awesome. Let's face it 4v5 and 3v5 is essentially a waste of time.

Another issue i found is that when the game crashes at the loading screen people can't tell it actually crashed. There is no way to tell that

  1. ok this is going to be a 10 minute loading screen or
  2. gee my game crashed I have to restart

All you see is that the percentage counter stopped at 100% and everyone is staring at it.

I just thought to point this out because no one else did. I love this game and I play every day, which is why it upsets me enough to actually write about it.

best, whimsy

The last comment is especially true... there's no way to know if the launcher crashed or it's just slow.

I've had it both ways. I've had it where I see everyone at 100% and wait 3 minutes before resetting and getting in to the game when everyone else is already level 5. I've abandoned it after 3 minutes when duo-queued only to be told by my partner that he loaded the game 15 seconds later.

This is clearly on Riot's end. Even if there is a connection problem on my end, I should know when I'm not connected. There is no excuse for letting a player watch a launch screen with them at 100% and no indication that the game is actually already in progress. Especially when all you need to do when it fails is just exit and relaunch league and reload that screen. If you catch it early enough you still get in before minions spawn and can even still give a leash to your jungler.
