Ideas for a GOOD Mordekaiser rework

It's been a while since I have played Mordekaiser. I am still feeling upset about the rework they have done on my former favourite champion and since the message I had sent Malicious Metal doesn't seem to have reached and since it contained a few good ideas of mine that could give Mordekaiser his identity and role back I decided to repost it here with the hope that it will be seen and read. Please give me your thoughts on the subject !

Here's the message: Malicious Metal, I have seen the post where you tell your personal story with Morde and your suggestions for a rework. While I don't have the same experience (I don't follow the seasons I have been playing in but I'm pretty sure I've been playing the game for at least a year and a half now) I want to share the ideas I came with hoping it will do something. I also don't have any numbers to put on the table, just general feelings and gameplay ideas on my favourite champ. It may not be structured so bear with me, also I would really appreciate any feedback.

From his lore and powers, we can assume Mordekaiser can control souls and, logically, magnetism as well, since he IS the Master of Metal and would make a poor one otherwise. I feel this part of his power is underused, the only ability showing some of its properties being the magnetic like attraction between him and an ally targetted with his w. If these magnetic properties were shown more in his abilties, I feel his whole gameplay and strategic choices could be far better, thus making him feel more unique and fun to play. For example, his q could be something like this : his mace is in fact made of several pieces of metal held together by his magnetic powers, and when using his q he hits it so hard on the enemy that it shatters, sending metal shards on every nearby enemy (would do aoe damage like tiamat). His w could be the same as it was before the rework, but with a new effect : it could be cast on an enemy, only damaging him if Mordekaiser is nearby. This would damage the enemy's allies as well. Also when the enemy runs away from Mordekaiser he would get slowed and Mordekaiser would get a speed boost while running towards him because of the magnetic attraction. His e could be like this : it still does damage in a cone, but the damage scales on the distance Mordekaiser is from his targets, doing more damage the closer he is to them (this would reward Mordekaiser for being close to his opponent and landing the ability since the cone is way thiner close to him, and would also nerf his poke a little). This ability could also have a neat effect : every enemy that is caught in the siphon sees his soul halfway sucked up from their bodies (even minions), which throws them towards Mordekaiser a short distance, a little like Diana's e if I remember correctly. With these new w and e Mordekaiser would have good cc to stick to his targets and make full use of his damaging spells wich in turn maximizes his shield generation. Now for his ult : I have always found annoying the fact that we can steal and control the soul of an enemy champion but not make it use his abilities. In that regard Mordekaiser´s ult ressambles too much Yorick´s ult, it's like a Yorick ghoul that can only auto attack, the sole difference being that we can control his movements. Giving Mordekaiser´s ult the possibility to replicate at least ONE ability of the original owner of the soul, whether it is controlled by the player or not (the soul could cast an ability on its own, with of course restrictions on the chosen ability). This would distinguish Mordekaiser´ult from all the others and I do not think it is that much of a technical challenge. Feel free to tell me if I am wrong, but I think this idea is fairly feasable. Last but not least, his passive. I am not entirely sure myself if it is a good idea and most of you may not agree with me (if so tell me why please ;) ). I always felt Mordekaiser was too squishy for an iron man. Yes his shield would prevent good amounts of damage being dealt to him but after the shield is gone, under the thick metal armor there is a little skinny guy that cannot take direct damage. I feel that logically his armor shouldn't negate all damage then disappear, I feel his shield should give him resistances that would fade as the shield bar lowers and grow as it fills back, but never goes away completely. This way the mechanics are still there but they fit better with the overall concept and improve his gameplay feeling.

Many of these ideas would probably require some fine tuning number wise but I think they would reinforce the role Mordekaiser has had and even give him new role choices, such as going bot and jungle because of the new built-in cc and tankiness. I have written everything I have thought of on the subject, tell me what you guys think !
