Bots in my team?

So i am doing these mission things to get the tokens, so i go to intro bots because it's easy to push etc.. In the champion select, nobody talks except me?? I thought they probably just want to push fast or they're brb, so i thought it's a normal thing.. but when the loading screen ends, everyone buys a random item(except me) and then they're running to midlane??? then they just afk behind the tower, all in the same place until the minions get there. (they don't care about getting attacked, they just attack until they die and then they come back to midlane to do the same thing again) The question is: are they bots or real people? Is this normal?
