Statement: The world can't adjust to off-meta.

Disregarding the massive problem at hand (Dark Harvest and Akali), the world can't seem to stand seeing an Irelia + Ryze botlane, or a Annie + Zoe botlane.

They even say that mages are able to play all roles and win, and are hard to outmatch.

I formally disagree.

If a Lux is in the botlane with a Pyke as her support, it would make the most sense for you to wait until her mana is low to take her out; and as you wait you could weaken Pyke.

Meanwhile if you're dealing with a Viktor at toplane, honestly you shouldn't be having much of a problem against him really as long as you dodge his obvious aftereffects.

You can also preemptively take a few defensive runes so you can deal with whoever ends up in your lane easier, instead of taking only offensive runes and having nothing to take a hit with.

And if mages are a problem and you don't want to interfere with your base build; make Mercury Threads or one of the corresponding anti-mage items.

The meta is changing and almost anyone can be in any lane. So don't enrage yourself and continue to try to build only damage and think a little about defenses.

Tanks aren't really holding up as a class anymore so you have to put it on yourself if you can't take a hit.
