Compensation for higher ping

For years, Riot has ignored pleas of those far away from servers to buy/rent servers for them locally. We've had to deal with playing overseas usually. Personally, I play on a minimum of 220ms in South Africa to EUW.

If Riot don't intend on doing this service for thousands and thousands of players around the world, then the least they can do is provide some form of compensation for playing on a higher ping, the game simulates champions in the same space, ideally all people controlling the characters should be on even ground, but that's never been the case. Reaction doesn't exist in our gameplay, only predictions or black and white screens.

So here's my proposition, the client measures your ping and depending on your champ/runes/choice, your stats can get buffed to "level" the playing field based on how high one's ping is. Sure, there will be complaints by players that it is unfair but so is having your hands tied for longer than the other players before you can react, for every, single, mouse, click. Maybe a few AD on our marskmen to help last hit? Maybe some resistances on our beloved toplaners, in combat move speed for our midlaners, and hp/mana regen for our supports, whatever the case is, however minor, the help would be appreciated.

It is frustrating to always lose a clutch fight because you physically cannot dodge some skillshots or play some champs like Cassiopeia, Ezreal, Lee sin, Karthus etc, so this is at least some form of incentive for worldwide players.

There is a case of players tinkering with the system to feign higher ping and therefore get a better advantage however Riot are a billion dollar company, they can work around this, maybe only offer it in modes other than ranked where this cheating is not severe.

I truly hope Riot looks into this, the worldwide community would be thoroughly chuffed with such a change and their argument of low spending would be out the window if players with high ping have this incentive to play.

Good luck on the Rift and if you catch me there, don't be afraid to shoot a skillshot my way. Sir Pooopsalot
