How to increase map awareness?

Hello, everyone! Recently I am having problems with the enemy jungler. Ever since hitting gold, I feel like I am getting ganked by him much more often, far more often than I am ganked for. This is particularly a problem when the jungler plays extreme gankers, such as the infamous Shaco or LeeSin . It seems like I am ganked RIGHT after I use my flash or after I use my Kassadin ultimate offensively. Also, they always seem to come from the an area that I didn't ward (ex. if I ward the left mid lane brush, he comes from the right). I know this is NOT my jungler's fault, it is 100% my own. Ever since I started playing, my map awareness was (and still is) Christopher Columbus level. However, this is a very frustrating problem to deal with, especially when I'm beating my laner 1 v 1. So I want to ask the community: How do I increase map awareness and avoid jungler attacks? My main lanes are mid and top, and my main champions are Kassadin , Swain , and Malphite . I would really appreciate any and all constructive feedback!

find a youtube video with a beep every X seconds and look at your mini map every time you hear it

and if you are having problems with the jungler coming in from an unwarded bush get a item 2055 here and there and place the trinket one in the opposite bush

Make sure you ward whenever your trinket is up and keep an eye on what other lanes are getting ganked as well as buff timers. Buff timers show where the enemy jgler should be heading towards so either throw a ward down there or play safer until you catch sight of them again.

If you're playing top red side and you see mid just got ganked, see where the jg leaves vision, is he angling towards top or bottom? Then place a ward and play safe.

Another good way to tell when a gank might be coming is your enemy laner. If they start playing more aggressively or randomly start backing off then expect someone is on their way.

A good reminder to check the map is while you're waiting for your cds or between waves. At least in my experience XD

Hope this helps!
