Don't play ranked anymore this season if you're gold 5. Also, caution to all silver 1 players!

So I've been playing this game for about 4 months now. I got placed in bronze 2 and I climbed in these last 4 months to gold 5. I just got Gold 5 two weeks ago and I continued playing until I got in my series. So there I was Gold 5 100 LP. I stop playing solo q and I start playing flex with a team that me and my friends created for an upcoming tournament here in Edmonton. I just came back on that solo q grind and 9/10 games that I play, there is 100 percent a booster playing on either my team or the enemy team. It's honestly so obvious now that I realize it, however I had to play the price of having my win rate go from 53 percent to 51 percent.

I'm making this post so you guys don't do what I did and think its just "bad teammates" or you didn't "carry hard enough." and then move on to the next game and lose that one too and think the same thing. If you're in gold 5 that's awesome man, you get the season reward. Don't make the mistake of reaching for plat this season or thinking you can keep grinding solo q like how I did. It's an extremely huge risk considering how gold 5 players still play with silvers sometimes. And those silver players are definitely going to be having their account boosted to gold by a diamond or master player for the season reward. It's not worth taking that risk and getting demoted to silver 1, trust me.

Also, you can easily spot an account being boosted. I am not going to post any links to accounts but I easily can if I wanted to. Firstly, if you see them only playing Annie and Ashe in normal games for the last 3 months and all of a sudden they whip of the Evelynn jungle or J4, chances are they're being boosted. Also if they start queuing duo q if someone out of no where, then 8/10 times they're being boosted by two players who are most likely in diamond or masters.

My advice to anyone who's actually read this entire post is to 1)just enjoy watching worlds and how the game is supposed to be played. 2) Make a smurf and level it to 30 so you can get better on it without feeling bad about your winrate on your main like me. :( 3) Research the new runes and masteries 4) learn new champions or learn more about the ones you already play 5) Watch twitch streams and always keep an ear open for the advice and strategies they tell you

This is my first post on here and I hope you guys found some usefulness from my experiences and what I had to say!
