pvp.net patcher kernel

Whenever i try to open up my league client normally it doesn't work and i get a message saying "pvp.net patcher kernel has stopped working". I looked online and various people suggested running it as administrator so i tried it, it worked until i started an actual game. whenever i would get loaded into the game it would crash/freeze immediately.

Any advise i greatly appreciated because i am out of options..
