Ranked

Just throwing this out there and knowing the league of legends forums i'm going to get a lot of hate thrown my way. I understand this is a team based game but why don't we just get ranked by how good we do personally. It sounds a lot better than being held back by flamers, feeders, trolls .etc There is already a system in place that tracks how we do (MMR) right? Why not just use that. There is no point in bettering myself if i just get stuck with some troll who "runs it down mid" If i'm just gonna get held back by them anyways. We don't actually gain anything from playing to improve ourselves besides maybe a boost in LP. I just personally think it would be better. That would also solve the whole trolling and feeding thing. No one can actually drag someone else down just because.
