Cho'gath mid is op.

I have played Cho'gath mid almost to level 5 master(I'm rank 18) and I think he is a fantastic mid laner. Against Katerina and other (cheap) champions like her, he doesn't do that great. But you don't even really need to do good in the early game, you get a lot of damage either way (loosing the lane or not). His W (scream) is not really necessary, it really is just for a bit of damage and Q does alot more damage and throws them in the air for a stun. ( look at the picture of item set) I was going to make zhonya's next for the next item because I didn't know what to make next, but my team ended the game shortly after. The pic was just one pic out of many, i picked that one because it had the most complete build, most of my mid Cho'gath games are like that anyways.

I disagree with the build (not in general, but in mid), as well as the scream being useless, but yeah. Cho is borderline OP as a midlaner.

the scream does so much damage if you level it first and its easier to hit than his Q. The reason he isn't played more mid is because it's not a carry per se. He's slow so he can't roam well and make plays which is his main problem. It's the exact reason why he stopped getting played in LCS. Bad map presence

Double Statikk Master Yi too stronk. Thou tbh he's far from the only weird thing about builds/summoners in this game :P

Weeeeell... How to say that? Yeah, Cho'gath is pretty strong, since he can be built pretty much as an APC and still be very hard to kill. He synergizes very well with CDR, resists and flat AP. His silence is BROKEN AF. You probably don't realise it, since it's kinda hidden power, but preventing your opponents from trading back is huge. But as summoner level 18 you shouldn't go straight to conclusions yet. A lot of players you face have quite a random amount of skill, and some champions would look OP or very bad, when actually they're completely balanced.

Swiftness are kinda weak, Ionians or Sorcerers (or even Merc Treads) much better (and they didn't have that much slows tbh) item 3091 : meh. It's not that bad actually, but I prefer other items on Cho as you don't really need it. Getting a more AP-oriented item would allow you to be even more dangerous burst-wise. Also, you're not really the greatest melee fighter of the game. You'd be better off positioning a bit more retreated from the fight. That's of course if you haven't already snowballed ridiculously in your games, which you did. So you probably didn't feel any danger in coming to melee [because you were overfed]

item 3115 >> item 3091

20% cdr, 80 AP... seriously?

I would not say that he is OP. He is strong against popular solo-queue champions since his durability/sustain helps deny snowballing, his CC can prevent priority targets from taking actions in teamfights, and his ultimate is great objective control.

He's a great pick, but not OP.

Lmao. "The other cheap midlaners" But cho'gath mid is super cheap because you sustain through all harass and you can harass 500 range away just being melee and lategame that shit does 30% of your ap plus base damage, so it's basically an ad carries auto.

AD Soraka mid is also OP against lvl10 opponents who play this game for a week.
