Broken Rating System
The system is broken. No question. There is no excuse for what it decides is and is not an S level game.
Just played a ranked game. I was rolling.
Finished the game 14/0/15. As jungle Vi. We took 3 dragons and rift herald. I took 2 towers. I tanked the most damage on my team and was pretty even as far as damage output is concerned.
Thinking the whole time I am finally getting that last Mastery 7 token.
But instead I get out of the game and see that I have earned an A+
For reference the malphite in this game got an A rating. His score was 7/4/8. So in Riots eyes my 14/0/15 game was just one shade better than that.
The only thing I did poorly was my farm was not great. I finished with 112 in a 32:34 minute game. I understand that farm is important. But is it not important the amount of objective control and lane control I was bringing this game? Farm should never be the single determining factor of a good game. And neither should kills.
I do not understand this system.
A couple games ago I saw a support Sona go 4/1/20 and that warranted an S+ rating. I think that is deserved but still not as good of a game as the one I just played.
I continually have games and hear people talk about how this rating system makes no sense.
I want to see some concrete criteria that the system actually takes into account. It seems like the only way to get an S rating as support is to have a game where you get several kills. And I don't even know what to do to get a better game for jungle Vi than the one I just had.
