[HELP] To be a Support Main

Hello all,

I've been a jungle/top main for a while now in low elo, and I have been finding myself wanting to switch to a support/jungle main, because that seems to be more my playstyle in terms of setting up plays, getting my teammates ahead, and overall being a better team player.

Problem is, I know nothing about supporting. I was wondering if some higher elo players could help me out in terms of some basic supporting tips, as well as what supports are really worth putting a lot of time into to learn and get really good at.

Thanks! ~yyaeos

Thresh is a really good one. He can carry his lane, peel very well, and is great for getting picks and initiating team fights.

Supports are usually no that mechanical intensive so you can easily learn (and even master) more than one.

Easy supports to start are: Braum, Sona, Soraka, Taric, Nami.

The hardest are: Thresh and Bard.

In fact you can play every support and climb, so pick the one you like. (I climbed to plat V this season by playing only Taric)

Try to ward as much as possible. Supports dont need to cs so you usually have more time than anyone else to watch the minimap. Ping like the madman bc its possible you spotted something no one else did. Try to be the brain and the hearth of your team. Write those "gj" and thank the jungler after ganks - keeping high morale of your team is also supporting.

And above all just play it and learn it, practice is the best teacher.

Good luck and enjoy your instant queue time.
